I don’t think blocking anyone is necessary, ever. Even if you very much dislike a member, it’s never a great idea to block them. Instead, just ignore them, and move on. If they want to comment on your posts, let them.
Then you chose to ignore them and make a joke out what they say. Blocking people seems unfair, at least in my opinion.

Eh, if they're just going to swear in my dms for no reason, I don't see any reason not to block them.

I block people in specific curcumstances
You try being friendly to them and have a conversation with them. If you can’t be at least a little kind and respectful, even if they are being rude, you’re too sensitive. Usually by being kind to people that are disrespectful will bring out their good side.
Mittens can’t expect to not be blocked if he chooses to block people as well.

I was, and yet they still were rude.
Even if I hold a grudge with someone, I don’t see a reason to block them. That’s my opinion.
Yes it’s just as I thought,first we get breeze quickly followed by baby. ! ……the good old days are returning again ! 😩
Actuele the occasional block can have an calming effect, and help to improve the overall mood of the community . For instance if someone lied to me , I would deem that worthy of a block ! ✌️😾
