I think the effects of chess on 18270's brain are obvious. The poor thing can barely process our insanity. The only known cure is beer. Fortunately, it's the 4th of July, America's holiday dedicated to burning stuff and blowing crap up, mostly after drinking far too much.

Difficulty in processing unfamiliar visual input is definitely a sign of brain damage. For instance, right now, I can't deal with little question marks superimposed over exclamation points. The mental torment is exquisite!

Well, Bill, it depends on your definition of the word, "win".

Many chess players also smoke, which can lead to brain and lung damage!

Ugh... Guilty.

Perhaps I can clear up all this confusion.  Let's see now ... what we have here is ... nope, I can't clear it up.

Chess is OK as long as it doesn't obsess one. Its a good idea to mix it with a word game such as Itsyourturn's Jamble.

Does this explain the sad absence of posts in this lovely forum for the past 4 months?  Was there an outbreak of "exquisite mental torment" that spread from poor dear DrSpudnik to many others? ... and lasted for 4 months? ...... Hello ..... Is there anybody out there?

Henryk1

No, I'm not here any more.

DrSpudnik

Is anybody who's anybody anyplace that's anything?

Makes much more sense.
