Isn't that "cut" the cheese?  (a crucial question within the context of this forum, since if I'm right, then Your brain is in worse shape than Mine -- and what is the obvious cause of this disparity?  You've played way more chess than I have!!  Forum question: posed and answered.)

Goes great on rotten brain!

"You won't be angry?"

"I promise you, I Will NOT  Be Angry.  Whose brain Did I put in?"

Yes chess causes brain damage. (Look at yourself!)

al_farabi

speaking frankly, if you are playing chess to much with so much tension and always wanting to win

it can stress you out, but stressing is not brain damaging ,i guess..

Speaking seriously, prolonged stress Can lead to depression, and prolonged depression actually Shrinks the hippocampus:  Voilá!  Scientifically demonstrated brain damage!

DrSpudnik

It shrimps the hippopotamus? Uhhhhhhhh Undecided

Hard to distinguish primary causation here:  Perhaps people with smaller brains take up chess as a hobby ... am considering starting new forum:  "Does Chess Cause Brain Damage or Vice-a-Versa?"

The forums definitely are.

Now I Have started a forum for that! -- "Chess vs. Forums: Which Causes Less Brain Damage?" ..... we discussed it at length .... but I can't remember what we decided .........
