Yes. Reasons? How about sticking with a habitual cheater for no other reason than to further her own political ambitions? There's one reason why she's stupid (and clearly without a backbone if she's willing to be walked on like that, and in front of the entire world no less)

The link you provided says she did not volunteer. She was appointed to the case, tryed to avoid it but had to do it, and as a good lawyer she then tries to win the case.
