My conclusion is yes, but rather than “wow you’re weird,” or “you’re wrong because,” try “this makes me feel,” or “this is how I think about it.” Own your opinion without projecting it on others. Obviously there are plenty of detractive people on the left as well and they certainly don’t always play by these rules either. Both sides have a lot of learning to do.
