Just a life tip, if you're "Using X to get a girlfriend", the relationship probably won't last. Get a girlfriend by liking the girl first (and it being mutual), and let it grow from there. Beginning a relationship by leveraging a hobby seems like a good way to feel valued for only that hobby.

Yeah, it's possible I guess. I used to date a girl I met via chess in some way. She and I were in the same group at the chess club we went to. But I'm not sure one can intentionally find their other half by "using chess".
Pole was an active troll those days.

Games bring people together. Just defeat her good, and then console her afterwards (just not by throwing the game). Just make sure it's a crushing victory and a good light conversation.
If, however, you suck, then at least have one other game you know you can beat her in (rpgs included).
