Is RAR illegal?

Guys, come on, now . I think you know in your hearts that "I didn't post more than once every five seconds" is not really a good excuse
.
I mean I do realize it's all for fun and in good spirit, but there were too many of you and too much RARing that it dominated the chat, and that makes it very distracting for everyone, causing other users to hesitate participating.
Imagine a few people making the same kind of joke over, and over, and over, and over loudly in a crowded gathering. It might be for fun and non-offensive, but too much of it turns into something inconsiderate and annoying for everyone else. That's why I ignored it for a long time, then started with warnings, then used the mute button (which is not really anything drastic. It just keeps you away from chat for a while).
Do joke around and have all the fun you want among your fellow rarrers and in your groups, but in crowded and fast-flowing chats like the one in SLC event, please refrain from doing the same thing over and over again so that chat stays welcoming and enjoyable for others.
Cheers

Allow me to address all 3 points.
Point #1:
Insulting to try to prove your point is an Ad Hominem fallacy. I really shouldn't be surprised. This is the chess.com public forums after all.
Point #2:
I'm not really proud of my rating right now. It was 1739 USCF less than 1 month ago. It went up to 1896 as the result of going undefeated in 2 tournaments in a row (the only 2 USCF rated tournaments I've finished since I came back).
I took a long break from tournament chess and studied a lot during that break. When I came back (about 1 month ago), I was likely underrated. I might be able to go to a 7 round 90/30 FIDE rated tournament next week, so that might help my rating more.
Point #3:
That's an empty claim. I have a student who is about 1450 USCF who is capable of making plans.
I don't need to respond to the rest of your post, as it seemed like a mix of bragging and insulting others.

Thank you for the reminder of what the chess.com public forums can be like. I had "banned" myself from visiting/posting in them for quite some time, but I decided to make an exception for this forum.
Untracking...

1450s can't make plans and you shouldn't have students. You're not strong enough to teach. Even 2200s are barely strong enough to teach.

I briefly checked this forum.
I saw something enough to respond:
My student has gone up roughly 600 points since I started coaching him (<1 year ago). In his last tournament, he beat a high 1800 USCF and drew a mid 1800.
I don't need to care about your opinion. I don't want to waste time arguing with you. Bye.

Argue against crticizers using facts and logic, while they use opinions! Can't believe he'd criticize logozar without knowing him... If 1400's didn't know how to have plans, how could they checkmate?

Well, now I know. I had a suspicion you were still watching this, and lo and behold... I'm going to disregard the last part of your message, since you came back last time. So, a 1400 went up 600 points in less than a year? Wow! That's almost unbelievable, or it would be, if not for how easy it is to gain points at that level. It's hardly even rare to see someone do that level of improvement uncoached. You aren't qualified to coach anyone. Just because you're stronger than the 1400 doesn't mean you are capable of coaching them. You're so far away from having any real understanding of the game. It's the blind leading the blind. If you can't even admit that you're unqualified to coach, you're completely deluded. Even I don't think I am and I outrate you by over 200 points. Go ahead and teach him. I can't stop you, that's for certain. All I will say is that I feel bad for him, because he'll end up having to basically relearn the game from the ground up eventually.

Yeah! 1450's are total beginners anyways. Wait....I'm a 1450.....

1450's can make plans, I guarantee it. I make excellent plans, The only thing holding me back is prize money. U1500 is an excellent division for prizes.

I didn't read much more than the majority of the 1st page, but you should go to Help & Support and contact an admin about this. (Although, just saying, posting once every 5 seconds is probably spamming)

If one person posts a RAR comment in the chat every 30 seconds, nobody's going to care. If ten people post RAR comments in the chat every ten seconds, they will dominate the chat and drive everyone else away, and if they keep it up when asked to stop, they shouldn't be surprised if they start to get muted.
RAR is harmless fun if kept under control, but if it gets out of control it counts as spam.

Yeah, I totally understand what you mean.
