Is someone here willing to help me with trigonometry

For example, lets say I wanted the cos of a 210 degrees angle.

Say you don't have a calculator.

Use a 360° protractor.

Use 10 centimeters as the radius.

Mark 210°.

Drop it down perpendicularly to the X-axis by using a square tool.

That is your analog answer.

I'd give myself an A+ for that answer.

Anything else is less elegant.

How did you do on your high school exams?

I got 1360 on the SAT in the age of the Commodore 64. And English is not my first language.

But that's not important.

I'm actually a geometric artist in real life. World class. I use mathematical concepts in real life.

World class?

Wait hold up....

I still don't get why I need to learn trigonometry other than getting a 1600 on the SAT. I want to be a programmer or a buisness man/investor when I grow up. I'm interested in programming and economy. Why exactly do I need trigonometry for any of those? Also, are there any ways I can get bumped up a few grade levels cause I literally learn nothing in school and I already am in the highly capable program where I learn 2 grades higher. I'm pretty should be in at least 8th or 9th grade based on the content I'm doing.

A triangle has 3 sides.

I hope that helped.

Here's real trigonometry for you.

Ask you teacher to prove the Pythagorean Theorem, no books, no computers, off the top of his head. If he can't do it, he doesn't know Trigonometry.

Can you? No books, no Internet. From your own brain. Right here, right now. If you can't, you don't know anything.

bruh, why do people act like proving the Pythagorean theorem is so hard you can legit just use Garfield's proof, which was something like this:

I got this from images btw lol. Anyways, I usually just use Garfield's since I find it the best and easiest to use, I don't use Bhaskara's because, even though it's "artistically" my favourite, I always forget how the lines go xD. Plus I always run out of room when I try drawing it. Garfield's is simple easy and nice. When I was little, I was intrigued with the countless ways to prove it, and I started searching more proofs. I actually found one image of Einstein's proof, though, like his mind, is complicated. I've made my own, but theyre always kinda been simple, and my parents always find steps that im missing. So in case you're taking a test, use Garfield's proof since it's always helped me get As on those quizzes on Khan Academy

I'm a bit drunk right now, so I can't say this in a very... proper way.

But I think someone should tell you @long_quach that you're mentally ill.

I mean... I don't know what you can do about it, but maybe it will help you to be told. I don't know. But at least someone is telling you. At least... I think that's better than nothing. That's what I think.

Though you are drunk, you said your message kinder than I could have.

And no need to bother being kind. long_quack is a long-time, failed forum troll around here, reputable for his ranting, notorious for his spammed claims that speed chess is not real chess.

You're a weirdo too, but thanks lol

Just as I posted my comment I realized what a hypocrite I am, being a famed troll on this site as well...

Here's the "proof" of the Pythagorean Theorem?

Where is a² + b² = c²? Where?

Yeah, the proof does not really make much sense to me either. I prefer to prove the Pythagorean Theorem a different way.

Also, @slabflow, this is really random but sorry for accusing you of being Colby on the other thread, lol.

krazeechess

bruh everyone who can prove it is either a math professor or they learned it from someone or saw it on the internet before or they read it. No one here actually figured it out themselves (unless they are a math professor). Even if they were a math professor, they still probably learned it from somewhere else.

that is so dumb.

Phantom_Beast23

"Where's A^2 + B^2 + C^2"

ITS RIGHT THERE NOT THE FORM YOURE USED TO

"Why does everything revolve under Einstein"

People dont use his proof, its just one he made when he was younger.

I learned it in high school and I never forgot it. (Although I am a geometry artist, by accident).

yeah exactly, its not like you figured it out yourself. so people should be able to use the internet and books.

I think now it’s more based on how much AP classes u take and the amc 8,10 and 11

I independently proved Thales Theorem. (It's easy).

Thale's Theorem:

A diameter of a circle and a point on a circle forming a triangle. That triangle will always be a right triangle.

The beauty is not in what, but why?

Why did I investigate that? There is a reason. I had to solve a geometry problem for a geometry art.

If Einstein came up with the proof of the Pythagorean himself, why did he do it? And why didn't he come up the the proofs for a whole bunch of other theorems?

In police work that's called "motive", motivation. It's the key to understand what happened.

No need to flex ur ultra math skills on us, we’re not as old as u are and as big brained as people who have studied many years more than us. Also there is no need to say that u got 1360 on the sat it’s not even that much.

A long time ago SAT scores meant more though. There were no test prep materials for example.

These days kids can start preparing from a young age.

Yeah it’s been changed
