I really hope there is.

Actually, there is. On Yahoo Games. They have pool too.

However, I find the section on checkers opening theory to be rather sparse compared to this site. And there isn't a tactics trainer on that site.

I'm hoping for checkerstempo.com for tactics and endgame practice.

games.yahoo.com/game/yahoo-checkers.html

Just google "Yahoo Games" or "Yahoo Games checkers" if that link doesn't work for you or you lose it.

I hate checkers, but that's just me.

I hate when people see chess and their all,

"Hey, isn't that like checkers?"

"Yes and a tricycle is like a Ferrari."

The European checkers, where you are not required to capture opponents' pieces if you don't want to, and the queen/king in checkers can move like a bishop in chess as many squares as she wants to!!!
