that's not a good example to your son-in-law hexy
I've cheated my way through all of high school...
I rarely use AI for school. I know that if I ever got caught, my butt would get whooped.. If I ever actually DO use it tho,it’s for math. (but that was a longgg while ago…)
Cheating by using AI is unavoidable. It's going to happen and the whole point is to use it for things like this. Why bother learning something AI can do better? I'm on team basix here (Just saying ROM is ari's best song because of Lady Gaga)
Well... You know what I think of the public school system, and tbh... I see very little wrong with what you've done. Considering all the ways that it's messed up, you're 'gaming' the system. Use the rest of your time to gain skills for life and you'll do just fine.
Before I type out a long post that only a select few of you will read anyway, I’d like to mention that I am smarter than a lot of kids my age, and school has always come easily to me despite the minimal effort I’ve put into my schoolwork throughout my childhood. I scored in the 99th percentile for my PSAT (a test given to all tenth-graders to test their English and Mathematics skills over four modules), and got very solid grades this semester, which are as follows:
Chemistry (regular): 87
English ll (honors): 92
Business management: 96
Algebra ll (honors, and a grade level above mine): 78 (88 in terms of GPA)
Business marketing: 96
World history: 96
(My school makes 60% of my grade test grades, and 40% of my grade ‘minor grades’; things like homework, quizzes, assignments, etc.)
This post will explain how, with the use of technology, I have cheated my way through high school, and it has worked to perfection thus far. Feel free to read as much as you’d like.
Christmas break is here, marking the halfway point in the year, finally allowing everyone to get away from their teachers, sleep in, and not have to worry about grades or homework for a few weeks to enjoy the holidays. For me, it was a chance to realize how easy the first half of the year was, and to continue the countdown until the year is over. This semester, I was very pleased with the grades I had gotten. I got all A’s except for two B’s in advanced algebra and chemistry, some of the more difficult and more boring classes. Realistically, if I had put forth more effort and not slept ⅘ days every week in Algebra, I could’ve been a straight-A student. That’s besides the point of this post, however. Here is how I actually ‘earned’ those grades this semester, class by class.
Chemistry was very interesting this year. I have a buddy I sit next to that I’m good friends with, and we basixally did all of our assignments and some tests together. We collectively split work and did every minor grade assignment by copying and pasting the answers into Google AI on our Chromebooks, or taking pictures of a worksheet on our phones and letting Gemini figure it out. Nearly all of my minor grades are a score above a 90, which is great! For tests, I had the luxury of being able to cheat on three out of seven tests this semester by using my phone while my teacher sat at her desk. These were good— all above an 85. The ones I couldn’t cheat on (for fear I would be caught, since she was walking around), I scored anywhere from a 70-80, which isn’t too bad. Chemistry was a breeze, given that I never had to worry about minor grade assignments, and I did at least decently on all tests.
English, while extremely boring, was also extremely easy. I hardly cheated and got all 90s or above on major grades, while sacrificing that for low minor grades, which all averaged out to a 92. However, I did have AI write me an entire essay on Frankenstein (which I had not read a page of), which I then humanized with Grammarly and got a 100%. Other than that, AI may have done a few minor grade assignments, but that’s all.
Business management was easy. If you ever need an easy class to take for high school, do business.
Algebra two is by far my least favorite class when I’m awake. I slept through class nearly every day or wrote jokes and silly notes to friends. I was absolutely one of the dumbest in the class. My game plan became to use AI for the homework so it would balance out my inevitably poor test grades. And… that’s exactly what happened. My test grades were a 54, 91, 71, 63, 60, and 67. Luckily for me, though, I always gave myself time after school to take pictures of my homework, scribble my ‘work’ down so she wouldn’t get suspicious, and pass the class with flying colors.
Business marketing was easy. If you ever need an easy class to take for high school, do business.
World history was extremely easy as well. I used AI for a lot of annoying assignments, but that’s about it.
Overall, it was a nice first half of the year. I did almost no work myself (provided it wasn’t simple), and allowed AI and the internet to carry me through the year as it has before. I am aware of my unethical practices, but I wanted to bring to light how AI has positively affected my grades and has made it so that I don’t ever need to be stressed about schoolwork. I am in no way a rebel or ‘bad kid, ’ but I feel no shame in cutting corners to make my life a little bit easier. At the end of the day, I won’t need to know how to balance a chemical equation, and personally don’t see the use in stressing myself out about learning it, as so many people do. In my eyes, school and all the work given to high schoolers is already enough, and I think a lot of you would be pleasantly surprised if you used AI to do a lot of your work.
In this generation with AI and rapidly advancing technology, cheating in schools is inevitable. While it is certainly unethical, is it really a bad thing to use your resources and make life a bit easier on yourself? Feel free to let me know in the comments.
