How bout one where someone conquers your home planet and terraforms it, making it completely uninhabitible, and you must scavenge for food and other resources on other planets. Each new planet is a minigame, and eventually after scavenging on a few planets (each planet represents a minigame) you become strong enough to go back, and defeat the guy who was the reason your planet died in first place (boss fight)
