If you want to code, use ScratchJr if you are under 7. Use Scratch.mit.edu if you are older. It helps you code real well. Check me out on Scratch. My user is hkp08. Also try Code.org.

Codecademy.com is better. Scratch on the Raspberry Pi is too easy and it's retarded for older people. It's aimed at under 7 at a max of 8. Code.org is okay. You can't beat actual books that teach you though. I'm fluent in Python and Ruby. And I know a little of Java, HTML, Javascript, and a few other languages. Anyone wanting to code disregard this, Because Scratch while being okay is not amazing. I did use it a little though.

I agree with checkmategenius. HTML,Python and other programming languages are better if you are older.

I don't see what scratch can really do except prepare with ideas for what needs to be done to make a program. With information that is learnt from scratch you couldn't use outside of scratch.
