Lent Fish Friday Offerings

Yes, I know it's Saturday. I just had my second disappointing fish meal in two days. So I decided to start a thread. Wendy's "premium" Cod fish sandwich. Honestly the only part of this sandwich with any flavor was the pickles. Golden Carroll (dinner only) premium fish on the buffet. They offer fish tacos, fried shrimp, fried calamari, and fried clams. The calamari was the tiniest rings I'd ever seen, overcooked...I didn't even bother. Clams...they were always out when I went up to the buffet. Fish Tacos...tiny pieces of fried fish with lettuce and a bit of sauce...nothing to write home about but popular with the kids. Fried Shrimp...very crunchy coating with the shrimp slightly overcooked. Considering most fried shrimp is vastly overcooked these were not too bad.

I will say the best fish I have ever had were at local sea side restaurants. The first being frog legs next to the trailer park my grandparents moved into during the early 80s. This place also had outstanding dolphin fish. The second place was in California-they served Calamari steaks. Honestly the best fish meal I've ever had.
