Please can you share the response you get from the mods? I think most people would like to revel in it.

we don't want you here, why cant you understand that... you are someone who gets joy out of tormenting others, don't go saying i wrong... you've lied, been offensive, homophobic and transphobic. if your not going to say something nice or respectful don't say anything at all... this is a safe place, and you are making it unsafe... this is not about you or your need for attention. this is about real people just trying to be themselves and if you cant see that, that's ok... just don't spread your hate here...

Um, this might be a silly question, but if you really don't want the guy posting in your thread, why don't you just block him?

I think there is a lgbbqt chess club where you can feel safe to chat with like minded people. Have you read many off topic threads? There is no shortage of rude people here. So posting anything on any thread makes you a target for the rude people. Bottom line, the majority seem to not be very nice people.

I feel safe chatting anywhere and like minded people can play in any chess club they choose. No-one here bothers me and good luck to them if they try.

It's a shame that chess.com doesn't moderate forums enough to ensure trans members don't have to put up with this ignorance. This is a chess forum. Chess!

You seem to handle it well. You stated your opinion in a respectful manner. I was sharing with the op who argued for 4 pages with that other person and it seemed to get him upset. In my opinion, it's not worth the stress to argue with someone over differences of personal perspectives. Similar to why we shouldn't be discussing politics and religion. In the end, people will not agree and someone will get upset or say something offensive to the other.

Well, the site allows the OP to block people from the thread. I don't understand why the OP hasn't done that. Either the OP isn't aware of that, doesn't know how to do it, or secretly wants the trolls to post. Eh, whatever...

Blocking someone doesn't stop them from continuing to try to troll and derail. My point is let;'s have a chess.com admin confirm this thread is safe to be discussed on provided people are civil. If people are incapable of understanding what trans means then mods need to be ready to mod.

Until I see moderatos of chess.com taking a positive action like that there is no way I will ever subscribe. I want to but only when I see positive action.

It completely stops the troll from posting in any of the blocker's threads, unless the troll goes to the trouble of making an alt account. And if the troll makes an alt account, he runs the risk of getting banned.

I started cross dressing almost 40 years ago so people who have a trans problem are Neanderthal to me.

I am not sure that I will ever understand or agree with lgbtq views, preferences, not even sure how to say it, but I do know people are people. We all should try to be more kind to each other. We don't have to agree but we do need to be civil.

Topic locked it's against TOS with personal attacks etc.
