The BEST way for reporting violations of the community policy is the built-in report feature on every comment (available on web and mobile web). ALL reports are reviewed by chess.com staff or moderators. You will even get a note once it's been reviewed. The more reports the faster it will be seen and actioned.
I invite others to DM me after they use the report button, however, your mileage may vary with other moderators. Just because someone appears online doesn't mean they will see your message or respond. Reporting using the report button ensures it wont be missed by anyone.

ok. it usually is fixed fastest when I dm martin_stahl while he's on, so I assumed that was the same for other mods.
Martin is great at responding to DMs but thats up to them if they want to respond to DMs. I still encourage everyone to use the report comment feature BEFORE DMing a mod.
thank you for your help moderating btw. and if any other mods see this, that thank you extends to you too

Somehow the community doesn't seem convinced on the timelines nor effectiveness of this process and choose either personal contact or posting a topic about it and more often both for whatever reason.
Just look at how many heroes created topics for 1d10t box. Don't tell me they didn't know better than to add to the troll's glory and fanbase. Same for baby
I was just thanked for making a "Personal" contact.
There are situations where it is called for and effective.
I like both. Report comment and user with the built-in function and then notify me (some other mods may accept this too but it may vary).

In the last 9 days 7 of my reports of repetitive trolls and or truly offensive conduct have had visible action taken within a reasonable amount of time. Some of them were even resolved within 10-15 mins. That's not too bad. Thank you.
Regarding the issue of the excessive amount of threads about these repetitive trolls and offensive people, moderators should be locking these kinds of topics.
A lot of topics have been locked. Not because the topic or the current conversation has violated C.c tos, but because at sometime in the future someone "may" violate C.c tos.
Shouldn't we consider topics encouraging the repeat trolls and offensive people to be a "Lockable Offense" as well?
What thread were/ are they in?
It's not an easter hunt... those aren't chocolate eggs.
Can someone list all the mods for the next time he who must not be named gets on?
