I can show how to get king and castle checkmate for free

First, you get three pawns when your opponent doesn’t have any pieces. If you have more then that, force your opponent to take them. Once that is completed, promote all three pawns to queens or rooks. Queens are harder if you aren’t careful of stalemate, and rooks are harder otherwise. It doesn’t matter where your opponent is, but you have to put your queen on the files surrounding that. (Ex: if the king is on the e file, then put the two queens or rooks on the d and f files without giving stalemate.) Then move your king directly to the side of one of your queen/rooks that control the ranks to the sides of your opponent’s king. Once you’ve done that, then move your last queen/rook on the file on the same file of your opponent’s king, but with farther opposition to not give a check (yet). Finally, move your king to a different file as it was before without blocking the queen/rook. This will be a discovered check, thus checkmate with a king.

Castle checkmate is the same, but you have to not move your a-rook nor your king for the entire game, and your opponent’s king HAS to be on the d-file, with your queens and rooks on the files next to it. When you’ve done that, then just castle checkmate.
