I shall now contribute to this thread. Ronaldo, Tevez and as yet an untried Berbatov. I am 45 years old and have watched football both live and on the television since I was little. I used to watch Match of the Day with my Grandfather when I was a child both in the 1960`s and the 1970`s. I now have no wish to watch the so called best teams in England because, even though the players are fitter, faster and more professional towards their sport, they are in my opinion over paid, spoilt and generally bad news. How can you even think that those players above are better entertainment than , George Best , Dennis Law and Bobby Charlton? Those were the halcyon days and every team had a star player who made people hold their breath and stare in awe. Manchester Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool don`t give me entertainment, especially when they play each other. I love lower league football because, one my team are non league, but two there is no real pressure. It is simply nice to go along and actually see the players enjoying themselves and not worrying who they can get the most money from. You can keep your so called stars and I shall live in the past where I could appreciate all the skillful players for what they were. Entertainers. Not prancing spoilt babies.
I hope, even if you think I am wrong, that I have now contributed to this thread. Lilith
chessman_callum-you are a west ham fan!
Lilith you have not really contributed to this thread. Who cares if they are ugly and btw they are strikers not midfielders.
Soyelkapo- Ronaldo is Man Utd for life and theres nothing Real Madrid can do about it!
