A club that bases membership on IQ score or any standardized test score is not very intelligent. They missed the most important lesson in school - those tests are all bs. Doing well or not has no (or very little) correlation to intelligence. And intelligence is multi-faceted.

Wait a second. I've heard that ppl get jobs based on their IQ.
So they get tested, do good, & get placed. Or not. Same thing at school. Gifted programs, Special Ed, Spectrum placement, etc.
As far as giving someone bragging rights, I suggest leaving that up to the parents.
But I know what u mean about kinda dismissing it. But looks & smarts go a really long wayz in opening opportunities....or so it seems.

I mean if I was a TNS member, I'd think about stating that in a resume....tho' it would kinda depend 'cuz u could get trapped or labeled.
But I feel that if you've been rigored as 99.9% best by test ?....that's something else at 1 outta 1000 people.

Sorry, this is going to be a bit of a rant lol (not personal or anything)
The school system overall is a disaster, especially when it comes to separating kids the way they do, so I preface my position with that qualifier about my beliefs.
IQ tests only measure a small subset of intelligence but miss other important areas such as emotional intelligence, creativity, etc.
Standardized tests such as the SAT are even more pointless than IQ tests, and more damaging (to individuals and society).
These tests are used to compare people, but the results are useless and the consequences of the results are a tragedy.
These tests are there to make it seem like only the brightest are making it to the top, to give legitimacy to our core societal beliefs - capitalism, - actually the case is that only the most obedient are making it to the top, bright or not.
In my experience I've known a lot of people who got great grades but were idiots, and tons of smart people who got bad grades because they didn't buy into the bs school system which constantly forces you to do things to test obedience rather than intelligence or competence.
The wealthiest people alive aren't the smartest. The poorest alive aren't the dumbest. The most successful people alive are those who have their priorities straight, working to live and not living to work.

Now experts say short people may also be intellectually challenged too - or at least in comparison to their taller counterparts.
A new study has found a link between IQ and height, suggesting that those who are shorter are on average more likely to be less intelligent.
Academics identified genes that influence both height and IQ, and said there was a ‘significant genetic correlation’ between the two factors.
The research, which covered more than 6,800 unrelated people, is the first to analyse DNA markers in such a way.
Riccardo Marioni, from Edinburgh University’s Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, said the link was small but important.
He said: ‘We tested whether DNA-based genetic similarities among people related to their similarities in height and intelligence.
‘Previous studies have used twin or family data to examine similarities between height and intelligence, whereas ours was the first to examine this using actual DNA markers in unrelated people.
‘What we found was a small association between height and intelligence such that people who are taller tend to be smarter.’
The claim is likely to be disputed by millions in Britain who fall short of the average height, 5ft 3in for women and 5ft 9in for men.
One is certain to be John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons, who at 5ft 5ins is dwarfed by his 5ft 11in wife, Sally.

I spent several months in a homeless shelter awhile back.( Was a million dollars in medical debt). I got to know a decent fellow accross the isle. Certified IQ he had of 190 +. Choose to live there by choice. Not much good at adjusting to the demands society placed on him. Intelligent did not begin to describe his mind. I learned much from that man.
