Bedrock is easier to play with friends. So, I think bedrock wins in my opinion.

java is great but modding (proper modding, not datapacks) requires a 3rd party client and no way to play on moblie also custom textures for items on servers not supported by defualt.
i prefer bedrock but bedrock has 2 many paid fetures
