Before the war, the Pillagers were expecting any attack on the city of Arala first, so they guarded the province with the 4th Army commanded by General Ayatan and the 6th Army commanded by General Lgycevyan. Because of this, the Villagers had to resort to skirmishes.
PART A: SKIRMISH IN ACSER VILLAGE (10 MARCH 1831)
At 5:50 PM, in the 10th of March, Villager General Icteisan ordered the 7th Army to attack the city of Arala. A Villager infantry detachment of 100 soldiers from the 5th Army was sent to raid the Acser village and get the Pillagers to engage in a skirmish. In 10 minutes, the Villagers opened fire on the Pillager civilians, forcing Pillagers to defend the village. Because the Pillagers underestimated the Villager army, they only sent 70 troops. The Villagers got in position, waiting for the Pillagers to approach. Thinking that all of the Villagers retreated, foolish Pillager Captain Eceistil ordered his army to launch a counteroffensive. But when they approached the Villagers in position, the Villager squads started to open fire on the Pillagers. After the Pillager platoon was annihilated, the squads began to regroup. The Villagers didn't even lose a man during the ambush. The surviving Pillager civilians were evacuated.

The cavalry swarmed the Pillagers. Some Pillagers even got pushed into ravines and died from fall damage. The Marines and infantry then worked together to take the rest of the Pillagers out. The 35th Golem Battalion then stepped in and attacked the Pillager artillery from behind. The 4th Army was taken out, but the Villagers still had to fight the 6th Army.
