This position is a simple example of both mined squares and triangulation in chess endgames
in this position e3-e5 are mined squares
because if any king try to sit on e3 or e5 then they will fall into zugzwang
the other name of mined squares are untouchable squares
ok
lets suppose its black to move inthe given diagram
Ke5 then white simply play Ke3 gained the opposition and see black is sitting on the mined square e5 bbefore white king so now e4 will going to lose
And suppose its white to move then this position will easily solve by the concept of triangulation
