Stalag 17(1953)
Loved William Holden and the story! The two comic reliefs? You know who I'm talking about. One was named "Animal" I believe. I don't remember the other person's name, but, they were the only flaws, for me, in the film
Airport(1970) I just watched it at like three o' clock in the morning last night! Total all-star cast, but! I thought it was just mediocre entertainment. The best scene was when Jaqueline Bisset gets crushed by a door to the restroom when the bomb goes off. I actually jumped a bit when that happened
Hoffa(1992). Convincing performance by Jack Nicholson as Jimmy Hoffa. The script was pretty weak. For almost two and half hours, the viewer ends up knowing nothing about Jimmy Hoffa, other than he loved the Teamsters, got involved with the mafia, and was murdered. I can find that out in one paragraph on wikipedia.
The Royal Tenenbaums(2001). I saw it when it came out and didn't appreciate it like I did the other night when I saw it again. Amusing throughout, with an excellent cast for comedy, it turned out to be quite, quite enjoyable! Gene Hackman is excellent
The miracle of Morgan's Creek(1944)
This film is absolutely hilarious! I love Preston Sturges! I don't like Betty Hutton at all, except for this wonderful comedy where she is superb! My highest recommendation
The Shoes of the Fisherman(1968)
I had seen this a while back, but a few days ago I saw it again. It remains the very best religious film ever made. The performances are superb! The only flaw is the David Jansen/Barbara Jefford relationship(which is just some fragmentary soap opera throughout the film). But how can you not like a film, where you have a possible world war three coupled with the Vatican giving away all it's wealth to actually help people? It's almost a sci-fi film!
The Usual Suspects(1995)
Though entertaining, this film is very overrated. It plays very fast, and has a clean ending. But, it just is okay. And of course, Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, and Benicio del Toro have done much more interesting roles. Not a bad film.
What did you think of Lord of the Rings?
I never saw any of those films. I started watching the first one maybe three times, but I couldn't get into it. Maybe I need mushrooms to watch it
i watch movies very low but just royal casino or007 maybe is good
It was probably the most entertaining "Bond" film since Sean Connery played the role!
Taste of Cherry(1997)
This film is sooo good! You don't want to read about it. Just get the film and don't stop it in the middle or something. It really is worth the 90 minutes to watch it all the way through, without knowing a thing about it. Abbas Kiarostami is a genius
i watch it only tv, the title is defiance,i t was when i have a topic about game practice an act of faith if you have read it.

American History X is an uncompromising look at the racial and socio- economic situation in this country, and it is dominated by Edward Norton's unforgettable peformance.
Also White Heat and James Cagney. Wow.
The cinematography of Lawrence of Arabia is the most beautiful I've ever seen. I'd like to see it in a theater someday. TS Lawrence was an interesting character as well. People who knew him said that he had the ability to make a person feel like they could do anything!

Oh! That movie had a scene that I've never forgotten, and wish I'd never seen! You know which one. The 'put your mouth on the curb' scene! Yuk! Edward Norton is a great actor!
"White Heat" is the best film I've ever seen from Cagney. Superb, and disturbing.
I love cinema! I often skip doing many things I would do in my twenties, just to watch an old movie now! So, if you wish, feel free to love or hate a movie here, by writing what you think of them as you watch them! I mostly watch older movies, since I'm not going to pay my money for the crap Hollywood puts out anymore. But, if you love movies, it would be interesting to me what you think of any film you've seen. Whether it be silent, subtitled, classic or recent, please throw up your opinion here about the last film you've watched so I can make a note of it, and hopefully find it to view! Thank you
