hey every1. i was thinkin and decided to c what kinds of music the chess.com community listens 2. so, what do all o yall listen 2? do you listen 2 music when ur playin chess? do u think different types of music make u play better? what music do u hate? fill me in.

Coolwell i play chess with music. these are the music videos that i listen to.

 naruto 1985, naruto 30 seconds to mars, naruto all star, naruto crawling, naruto vs sasuke/wake me up inside, naruto vs sasuke/wake me up when september ends, naruto stronger, goodbye again, naruto head strong, naruto last leg, and naruto ironic.

p.s i'm a fan of naruto.Smile

I like all music, except rap and other related genre (brand new or revival songs where the artist oversings--melody is lost).

Pink Floyd,60's,Kraut rock,progressive rock such as Soft Machine,Tomorrow,Kaleidoscope(US),King Crimson,Love,Emerson Lake and Palmer,Camel,Agitation Free,Kraftwerk,Rush and Van Der Graaf Generator also. H to He who i'm the only one is amazing album.Peter Hammil the best.Industrial,dark-new wave,Cure,Bauhaus,Siouxsie,Sisters of Mercy.There is a group "music lovers",we can discuss a lot about music.I have and a forum about Floyd at my profile,write some comments if you want

I listen to jazz and rock. I think Jazz helps me with my chess. I hate rap and hip-hop because there is no melody. It's not even music! I don't know how people can listen to it!Cool

Most people who say they hate rap haven't heard good rap. I agree that the mainstream rap they play on the radio is terrible (let's rap about how rich we are!), but there's a lot of really smart, interesting, and artistic rap out there.

 I totally agree with you janus255. I don't know why they play the terrible rap on the radio. If they did put the good stuff on the radio I would probaly like it!Cool

I'm listening to linkin park right now :P

I'm a 16 year old teenager.. rock, punk, alternative...

not a big fan of country music.

Music does not affect my performance.. whether I listen to it while playing or not makes no difference.
