Must discuss cheating in cheating forum

I think it is a load of bull that cheating is not allowed to be discussed outside of the "cheaters group"

Why would anyone want that avatar/group name in their profile?

and why cant it be a more mainstream discussion?

Business.

It doesn't give a good image of the website.

Obviously someone has taken the liberty to take out the names I just mentioned wow. Thats utter BS.

It's forbidden to post names of cheaters in the chess.com forums. The names will be erased.

Chess.com doesn't want this issue to be publicly discussed (at least not beyond 'this is a minor problem and we're handling it').

However, I do agree with you (not about the listed names - I haven't looked at them, but about the problem of cheating on chess.com in general)

I totaly agree with them radio shack. This site is just infested with cheater. It's ridiculous. The worst of all is Chess.com actually censure the forums and the peoples who actually ask them to do something about it. The last time I post something on cheating my account was closed 24 hours later. Would not be surprise to be again censure or closed sown in 24 hours...

From a business perspective, the best thing you can do is to not buy their products, and dissuade friends from buying them. I used to be Premium but cancelled after I realized their anti-cheating policy wasn't strong enough.

Cheaters forum is OK , but some of its members are obsessed with cheating... They see cheaters everywhere , they could lose a game by the Fool's Mate and report the opponent as a cheater!

When a combination is a little more complex than usual , they get mad! Something like the Inquisition...

And they don't accept ANY criticism... If you dare say a word , they call you names and of course you are a cheater!!

This pretty much sums up the discussion. Any real important topics will never be mainstream. The 2 years since posting has taught me that much.

as to crossfire125's point. Your post was the reason that the cheaters forum is the wrong forum to disscuss anything intelligent. Most of those guys primarily have issues losing.

It almost reminds me of conspiricy theorist (collective). Many are real, but the losers that taut them always take it much to far.

I am not implying that cheating isnt an issue or that conspiricy theories are not real, just that having losers being the flag bearers will never generate a change in policy.

I don't know what group people have been checking, but the Cheating Discussion Club (which I agree is unfortunately named) was and is nothing like some people have said in the above posts. While I expect that some people do join the club to denounce people they incorrectly believe are cheating, the admins and longer term members of the group have a much better (a) understanding and (b) toolkit, and generally deal with those sensibly and reasonably. There's plenty of "intelligent" discussion there and hardly a conspiracy theory to be found.

Personally, I believe Chess.com's anti-cheating policy is plenty strong, even if it's not "strong enough" for @hitecnunc - he's pretty passionate on this subject though.
