My parents always compare me with others.

My parents always compare me with others (especially youtubers of around my age). They say: "Oh look! What amazing talents they have!" I feel so bad. They make me feel like I have no talent. They very rarely praise me. Anyone else facing the same issue? What can I do to make myself feel better?

Don’t worry about what others may think. Always make an effort in life, be kind and honourable whenever possible and remember you are worthy of love. If you try to live like this you will have a good and meaningful life and a real positive impact in the world 😊

tell your parents how their words make you feel. you'll know why they say these things. parents are usually not toxic and I think your parents just want the best for you, do what you want to and discover your own talents.

unfortunately some parents just don't know how words can build or break their child though (and say/ask stupid things instead). I remember, and I bet most of us can relate, my parents asking me once why I were the only one with a bad grade in my class. because I am stupid compared to them? 0_o

instead they could just ask why I got a bad grade. but yeah some parents just don't know this...and talking is the only way to let them know :)

maybe compare your parents with other parents.  if you can't feel better, bring them down to your level.  tell them talents are mostly genetic and you suck because they suck.

don't do that if they don't have a good sense of humor or ...

In any case their goal probably is one: to make you the best.

I am not saying that I don't have talents. I have! But my parents just don't notice them.

They are so youtube addicted

If you got something show them clearly. For example programming. Make a game and ask them to give you feedback about it.

Tell them they need rules in life and can't have unlimited screen time.

How old are your parents? Are your grandparents around?
