My story of OTF and Chess.com
A couple days ago my science teacher posted me and another guy's assignments bc it was exceptional. Anyways my friend read it and she said this:
"You add a lot of exclamation marks XD"
I never posted, just read OTF posts here and there. That continued for a while,
Profession stalker?

Hello, you guys probably haven’t seen me EVER make a post longer than what, 4 sentences…so here’s a story time!
How I joined OTF:
I was what 8? 9? Something like that, when I joined my school chess club (just for fun). Tbh, I didn’t even know how to play chess, but my friend went so I decided to go. She taught me how to play, and that night I decided I wanted to improve. My parents made a chess account (known as @Elineeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) under their email. I played and used the chess site as well…a chess site. Around a week after, I started discovering other features, such as puzzles and lessons, and ofc…forums. I was quite confused, as my 8 year old brain could not understand why, just why some discussion was on a chess site. I never posted, just read OTF posts here and there. That continued for a while, until we hit the summer of 2025. I was at home sometimes, and that was when I created another chess account. @Elin_M was more of a social account, I began posting on OTF and having fun, getting looped in Basix’s Ari obsession and meeting new friends! I began to get to know Basix better, and all of you too! People started to know me better, and I became a bit more well known then the random newbie named “elle-in”.
That was the start of my OTF journey, come back for part 2! (including my marriage, my club, etc!)
Mwah, Elin
