Mystery of the number 7

Sort:
Account_Suspended

Integer fractions with 7 in the denominator.

Account_Suspended

1/7=0.142857142857...

2/7= 0.285714285714...
3/7= 0.428571428571...

4/7= 0.571428571428...

and so on.

what's also remarkable is that the digits missing (discounting trivial left-side place holders) are: 0,3,6, and 9. I always knew these digits were missing but didn't think much of it until dreaming about it...these excluded are multiples of 3. hmmmm!

So, you have been the one stealing my stuff from my locker?

Account_Suspended

no, are you into this stuff too?

Account_Suspended

1/14=0.0714285714285...

3/14=0.2142857142857...(this one has a leading 2 before the pattern starts)

parsing:
3/14=15/70=1/70+14/70=1/70+1/5=1/70+0.2

Whoah, that address doesn't have 3, 7, or 8.

If you add up the numbers you get 18. 8 - 1 = 7
