You could say that he was just "making a point" about how offensive it is that black servicemen were doing it...
But I think it goes beyond that. I would be offended to see "Black Power", "Female Power" "Asian Power"....it doesn't matter....

His idealogy of white supremacy may have pushed him to mass murder...
You don't have to make these wild suppositions. McVeigh, himself, explained what drove him to mass murder.

I am sometimes surprised that the swastika was the Nazi symbol, because it was originally a Buddhist symbol, and Buddhists do not hate. When reading certain Buddhist documents and books, I spot that swastika and wonder why they (the fascists) chose to steal a symbol of supposed peace and apply it to their hatred.

Nomadic Knight, you make the point that some of these symbols were "borrowed" from more ancient cultures. That is true, but in doing so, they have become wedded with infamy.
The more "borrowed", and the more "ancient", the more the interpretation becomes misconsqwered.
There will always be polarisation of opinions, surely we can't expect every single human being to follow a single way of life, thought and practice. We all find different things vulgar, atrocious, unacceptable, this has and will always happen as long as we live. There will always be a troublesome idea or group of people who wish to unbalance your world.
How we live together in a society is intriguing, it's just like an arena mostly filled with dullards and sheep. Some of us a combination of the two.

A few of these people with Nazi-related avatars (images of Hitler, swastikas, etc) claim they are from Germany. Where, if I am not mistaken, such displays, and the Holocaust denial that goes with it, are criminal offenses.
HOLY.......apparently there are bigoted, supremacist players on a site only dedicated to chess. Thanks guys and girls for condemning this abhorrent form of belief.
