The law of perspective applies to doors in hallways, light poles on streets, clouds above to stars in the sky. There is no getting around it.
Perspective is indeed general. It is what makes the Moon look as big as the Sun when it is about 500 times smaller. It is what makes Jupiter look like a tiny dot.

As I have stated numerous times. One must first Imagine the sun to be hundreds of times larger than the moon and 10's of millions of miles away. Only then, can the math be applied to Fit with the Imagination. The same Imaginations applies to the constellations. In fact, the entire heliocentric model was derived via the Imagination(s), and then the math was made to fit with those imaginations and then they claimed them to be Observations.
The photos above are not conclusive evidence of moons orbiting Jupiter nor that they are Terra-firma. Just as the ancient astronomers called the "planets" due to their uniqueness, "wandering stars". Many amateur astronomers have posted their video/photographic footages using high powered telescopic cameras like the Nikon P900/1000 and they clearly show these so-called planets are indeed Luminaries and Not Terra-Firma.
That is what NASA is for.
To tell everyone what is "out there" so far away and to show them via CGI/Cartoon Animations etc. as well as to be our savior from a cataclysmic catastrophe by a colossal meteor crashing into earth so we don't get wiped-out like the dinosaurs
Why doesn't NASA show one of their rockets from launch to the ISS? It is the same reason why a Magician will NEVER show the audience where the rabbit is before they pull it out of their hat! If they did, it would let the proverbial "cat out of the bag"!
And that is something They Will Never Do.

Elroch - Here is a hypothetical question you need not answer but just to think about.
What do think would happen if NASA/Gov't publicly announced they never went to the moon nor have ever been to space and that the earth was not a globe speeding around the universe but was in fact, flat and stationary and that there was more land beyond Antarctica which was not a continent and that was the real reason for the implementation of the Antarctic treaty?

I try an avoid YouTube ever since the CEO was brought before a gov't board and told to censor so-called conspiracy theories... especially those pertaining to the flat earth. Of course she was more than willing to do just that. Flat earth would completely disrupt and literally turn the establishment on its head

The point about perspective is not that things get smaller as they get further away, but that it's the bottom that disappears from view first because of the curvature of the earth. You don't have to go into space to be able to see it - you can see it even in photos taken from altitude before you get into space.
Flat earth is not a conspiracy theory in itself - it's just mistaken. But it leads to conspiracy theories because that's the only way flat-earthers can try to discredit all of the reputable institutions and organisations who have demonstrated that a flat earth is wrong.

David - so when you look out at the clouds above and then those further away that appear to be level with the horizon you believe that is due to the alleged curvature of the earth despite the clouds being at the exact same altitude?
All high altitude balloon footage as high as 120,000 plus feet show a flat/level horizon with the with the observer. If the earth were a sphere that would be Impossible. If the earth were spherical the horizon would necessarily descend as the observer ascended and the observer would continuously need to keep looking downward to view the view the horizon the further they ascended.
This is not what happens. The horizon remains flat/level with the observer no matter how high they ascend. This could ONLY occur on a flat plane. The question FE'rs have is if the plane is finite/infinite?
Don't be misled by those using a fish eye lens which creates convex/concave photos and everything in-between like the infamous Red Bull Jump from "outer space". Have you ever seen that?
And if you are going to trust Gov't sanctioned institutions to do your thinking for you then you are not thinking for yourself.

You’re not doing you own thinking either - you’re just accepting the points of the sources that are confirming your point of view. I don’t think those sources have any credibility, unlike the ones that have spent time actually establishing their reputations through peer reviewed processes. It’s like taking the word of the My Pillow guy over that of Dr Anthony Fauci or accepting evidence from some random website over that of the CDC.
And it seems that the supposedly flat horizon is not from photos of high altitude balloons but are actually cherry picked from videos of moments when it appears flat while ignoring the other times in the same videos where the horizon appears curved: https://flatearth.ws/high-altitude-balloon. David - make no mistake about it. I would never simply accept someone else telling me my life long held belief in heliocentrism was erroneous. I had to investigate/research that myself. Which I have been doing for some time now. You have/give far too much trust/credence to the gov't organizations/institutions/systems. If/when you decide to think outside the "gov't box" you shall then discover many things that are simply not true. NASA's moon missions and outer space adventures being one of them. If you cannot see through those simple charades/facades then you will never be able to see through the heliocentric deception and might as well continue believing that you live on a flying rock....Lost in Space!
I am here to help those who want to challenge their beliefs. Those who would rather believe whatever gov't tells them to believe are null and void. They have already made their decision to remain willfully ignorant. They simply cannot fathom that their gov'ts would ever lie to them. Can't help those people!

@noodles, your belief is not an insight it is pathological. I have explained to you that it is based on a long list of false claims that you can't back up. In addition, there are quite simple facts which show flat earth nonsense to be false to a person who can reason.
An excellent example is the way the night sky changes with latitude: piecing it together it all forms the celestial sphere, some visible in the Northern hemisphere and some in the South. Your fairy tale is not consistent with the existence of the celestial sphere (if you were capable of understanding what this is you would see the point).
Attacking someone’s intelligence is not a very intellectual way to win an argument. Tbh, it kind of takes away from your point and makes you look like a bully. Just friendly advice @Elroch.

If your reading skills were better you would see that there is no reference to intelligence in my post. Rather it refers to capabilities that are incompatible with believing in nonsense.

What you mean, assuming you are not lying or relaying lies, is that they all show a CIRCULAR horizon BELOW the observer. The "below" part demonstrates the Earth's surface is spherical, not flat, with no room for serious debate.
With a theodolite, this can be verified from a mountaintop. There are no flat earthers who are capable of using a theodolyte and walking up a hill (unless they choose not to in order to preserve false beliefs).

I don't think you have dementia, @noodles, so I am surprised you can't recall I reminded you of the elementary fact that any given object moves at a SINGLE velocity, and that the RELATIVE velocity between two objects is found by SUBTRACTING the two velocities.
Your schooling did get as far as subtraction, didn't it?

As I have stated more than once. One could write out a mathematical/theoretical formula that covers an entire chalkboard that proves absolutely nothing in reality. Heliocentric theory was constructed for that very purpose.... never ending theories. Even Newton stated "his theory" of gravity could never be proven. Have you not figured that out yet?
Remember, Copernicus claimed the sun 3 million miles away, Kepler said 12 million, others claimed 25, 50 and even more than a 100 million miles away.
Newton came along and said the distances are irrelevant for "their purposes."
The history of how heliocentric theory was forced into the world from the Copernicus revolution days(which is NOT taught in gov't schools) is quite interesting indeed!
In fact, I have learned more in the last decade than my high school/undergrad/grad school combined which was mostly just basic indoctrination anyways... you know, memorize/regurgitate.
The fact remains that heliocentric theory remains a theory, however, just like most other theories, we were all basically taught them as though they were facts never to be questioned.
Perhaps it is the internets fault that countless millions worldwide are now questioning things they were never meant to question????????
And that is why the PTB are scrambling to hinder/halt free speech. Labeling those who question the gov'ts official stories/narratives as "Crazy/Dangerous"!
No doubt they are dangerous to the gov't/establishment i.e. The PTB. Certainly not to the average person.

If NASA could track their own rockets from launch to docking at the ISS then they would prove it via all those 1000's of alleged satellites surrounding the mythical ball earth. They would show a rocket launch and it would remain visible via video footage either from space/earth or both. Heck, we are talking a mere 250 miles up. They don't show that because they can't, except using CGI/cartoon animations.

The heliocentric claim of trillions of miles/light years away stars is ludicrous. They are much closer to earth. It was necessary to postulate/theorize these incomprehensible distances in the attempt to negate the fixed constellations. Just as they had to convince the masses that the sun is many times larger than the moon despite the observable fact to the contrary.
