New Year’s Resolution Game

You try, but the police find a notebook outlining your felonies a month later.
My resolution is to stop hanging pieces like an idiot.

I think Sobrukai will fail by hanging their queen in their first game of 2025
My New Years resolution is to learn the French Royal family since Charlemagne. I want to study history one day.
I see a future where you realize you can't roll your r's and give up due to pronunciation problems

(Friendly reminder to everyone that you need to say how the person before you will fail, that's the game Sobrukai laid out)
Thank you, the Internet was slow and loaded only the title

hm, probably get better at chess and stop hanging my pieces as well lol
You played chess when you're on a bad state of mind
My goal is to reach more than 2000 elo in chess

You try, but every single time you get close you tilt and spiral back down
I hope to apply into a good college

You try to become a good student, but you get in an unforeseen fight in February and get suspended
I hope to have mustard available for all future hotdogs

My resolution is to improve at chess and hopefully achieve a 1000 rating, I might pick up a few courses to improve
Hopefully everyone has some sort of New Year’s resolution that they hope to achieve, so why not post them here? Of course that would be a pretty boring thread, so I came up with a game to go along with it. Here’s how it goes; I’ll start by sharing my New Year’s resolution, then the next poster has to share their New Year’s resolution and a guess as to how the previous poster will fail their New Year’s resolution, and how fast it will occur. For example:
Person A, “My New Year’s resolution will be to work out more”
Person B, “Person A fails in two weeks due to an unfortunately placed Taco-Truck near their neighborhood”
”My New Year’s resolution is to study more and get better grades.”
Of course those are rather boring New Year’s resolutions - you can come up with much more creative ones - but that’s how the cycle will continue.
Let’s start: My New Year’s resolution is to stop hanging my pieces like an idiot.
Have fun!
