I watched a shortened version where “The Basement” reacted to the direct, and it was awesome watching one of them freak out over Silksong. I would recommend.

90 percent of the direct was really exciting... and then they announced their new game price point, along with the fact that cartridges don't even have the games on them, and are effectively the same as just buying a digital copy of the game as all you are buying is a licence to play the game. But seriously, 90 dollars for a game that I'll play at most 50-100 hours of total is absurd.

It's because they're a greedy, out of touch corporation used to getting their way. There's a reason why they are pretty much the ONLY modern console maker that wages serious war on all emulation, it's because they know their hardware is lackluster and they're trying to make sure people buy it regardless, even if you lawfully own the game, that's not enough for them. Nintendo's value among their greatest fans is their games, but among casual consumers, the money is in console sales, and Nintendo knows that.
So do I. But not for $90
