nirvana & meditation

Thanks mdinner, you already posted that too in some other thread when I remember correctly ;).
@tom:
lol are you serious? We already told you several times what the purpose of meditating and reducing thoughts is.

Ah and another thing is you, Tom, identify yourself with your mind and thoughts. This is what Tolle calls the "ego". It is basically a construction of thoughts which tries to give you a fake identity. When you identify with your mind it is understandable that you would think that having no thoughts at the moment would be equal to not living. As I said though this is your ego. When you reduce your thoughts your true self is still there cause it got nothing to do with your thoughts.

All the thoughts and feelings and behaviours and so on aren't really what this life is .
Is that in the right sort of ball park ?

tom... a simple question? Your mind is constantly filled with thoughts, so much so, you have created 6+ threads on the same topic (different titles). All these thoughts have led to admitted confusion on your part. What has been resolved or acheived? Nothing in your never ending search.
Maybe, just maybe if you shut your mind down, listened, you'd make progress.

As I believe in me I believe in you too .

Tom, mdinnerspace´s suggestion is actually really useful although it may sound harsh. Because when you are not your mind and not your thoughts then how could you possibly understand who you are using your mind? It´s impossible. Do you get what I mean?

It´s still Till not Til, for the 10th time ;). I just read your comment and you seem to get it. Living is always at the moment, that is what connects us all.
