There's a clear alerts option to remove all your notifications. If a lot of notifications are bothering you then you can use that.

How do you do that??
For me there's a clear alerts option when you click on the bell icon.

Don't you just hate it when you log onto chess.com and there're like 40 notifications you have to look at, including those for Daily Puzzles?
