Thanks for your concern Bigpoison. The area that I'm in is some distance away from the flooding but some years ago I used to live down in that area. It's a good thing that I moved away from the raging rivers in that flood-zone.

Sometimes one reads a quote that states a truth which did not seem obvious and yet is right on the mark ( upon further reflection ). Quote: " Our Life is frittered away by detail ". A quote from Henry David Thoreau ( 1817 - 1862 ) a American writer, philosopher & naturalist.
Recently I saw a news item that read: Neuroscientists have a new explanation for why we sleep. I could have given them a hint: because we get Tired ??? I've worked a fair amount of shift work over the years and I know that people get rather tired after being up for say 20 to 30 hours.

Science and progress are wonderful things. I mean they recently sent a new probe to Mars ( with a rover vehicle ) and the Space Station is still working well. And now we have even more exciting news. A new Ice-cream flavor has been developed: Bacon & Maple-syrup ( in the same container ! ). What could be better ???
Bacon and cheese.
I know from past experience that maple syrup and ice cream go really well together.
If you put enough ice cream and syrup on toast it tastes like waffles.
Lettuce.
