3 stooges?
I'm just throwing this out there...

Moe, Shemp, and Curly were all brothers in real life. I have been a fan since i can remember.
Moe, and Shemp started with Ted Healy. Larry Fine started with the Haney sisters.

While i enjoy the Marx brothers, the stooges are the bomb!

Yea...but i know'd whatchoo meant.

Abbot & Costello was a comedy team who's most famous bit was......"Who's on 1st".
Classic comedy!

That routine, had our parents in stitches for hrs. The next generation enjoyed the equivalent of Cheech & Chong's......"Dave's Not Here Man"..

What happened to Shemp? I know Larry replaced him.
As a kid I got up early to watch this show before school.
Readers Digest Version.
It was originally Moe, Larry, and Shemp.
Shemp left to go out on his own, and was actually quite successful.
Moe brought his other brother Jerome (Curly) in to replace Shemp.
Curly had a stroke, and Shemp agreed to come back until Curly was well.
Sadly Curly never did recover, so Shemp stayed until he died.

Oh yeah. Curly was bald, Larry was curly haired. And I knew this.
Isn’t this considered slap stick?
Yep...slap stick all the way.

HEY! This is for everybody but mostly Cottonsocks because he asked about them. There's a new movie about the life of "Laurel & Hardy". I just became aware of it and Its called "Stan & Ollie"......its being released Dec 28. It looks very good and I'm gonna want to see it. Its a behind the scenes look at the life of those 2 beloved entertainers. They started out in silent movies under Hal Roach......yrs later, they moved to 20th Century Fox. Everything old is new again because the're doing "Mary Poppins" also.....(not sure if I want to see that one).
Merry Christmas to all the comedians on Chess.com.

The trailer looks interesting. I still catch the originals occasionally on TCM.
My favorite involves moving a piano into a house up very long and steep stairs in San Francisco. I will look for the title.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Here's another one for those who might be interested--I'm just throwing this out there. A new show....."Houdini's Last Secrets".....on the Science channel.....Sun Jan 6th 2019. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/science-channel-greenlights-houdinis-last-secrets-docuseries-1162661
I have nothing against Shemp...but i prefer Curly.
Almost everyone does.
Let's give Shemp a little respect. After all, he was Moe's brother and started up the act with Moe and he was pretty successful as a character actor in the movies when Curly was around.
