I remember exactly what I said too, and it's telling how you don't realize that EM radiation and Temperature are essentially synonymous. There is nothing false about, hence your inability to refute it. If it were false the moon surface wouldn't be boiling when in direct sunlight when it has no atmosphere to trap any greenhouse gases. Conversly Mars would also be a scalding hot inferno with an entire atmosphere of co2.

Mar's atmosphere is only 2% the density of that of the earth's

But it has millions of times more co2.

No, it certainly does not.

Hint: if you want to make a statement involving a number, you need to find out what the correct number is. Using a fabricated one to express your innumerate concept of "a lot" is not ok.

Of course, if you combine real numbers with a knowledge of simple physics and arithmetic, you can do a proper job.

Mars ground level pressure is 5.518 millibars, which is about 1/150 that of Earth. Mars acceleration due to gravity is 3.71ms^-2, which is 0.378 that of Earth.

Thus the mass per unit ground area of Mars atmosphere is (1/150) * (1/0.378) which is 0.0176 times that of Earth.

This is 95% CO2, while Earths is 0.424% CO2. So, per unit ground area, Mars has 3.94 times as much CO2 as the Earth. But the ground area of Mars is only about 28% that of Earth, so it has 0.28 * 3.94 = 1.115 times as much CO2 in its atmosphere as Earth. 1.115 is not millions.

Overall, the stronger greenhouse effect from CO2 on Mars is not enough to compensate for the distance from the Sun, the albedo and the relative lack of other greenhouse gases (eg water) on Mars, so it is quite cold with an average surface temperature of around a chilly -63 degrees Celsius compared to Earth's average 15 degrees Celsius. This is a little colder than the South Pole of Antarctica in winter.

Rich tourists, remember to bring thermal underwear.

Look at how much the media dramatizes this minor flooding:

There are other places to argue about this. Why not take it there or make a new thread and let this one get back to the topic? @EndgameEnthusiast2357 your Block Bypass Thread got locked for this same ongoing argument. lets not get Monty Python get locked as well.
