200yrs in the past had many similarities to today, where I live anyway. Rising food prices amongst rising unemployment. Introduction of poaching laws meant many people starved. A national debt of £834 million. A 'Gag Act' to suppress political opposition from the poor and meant arrest without charge. Govt spies reported on groups of working people discussing politics and only the wealthy people allowed to be politicians.
You'd think we'd have advanced in 200 yrs but many of these aspects of society are still in force when you consider the number of £millionaires on the front bench in Parliament. We still have illegal blacklisting of trade unionists and Govt spying reaching it's tentacles out through everyone's telephone and pc. Hunger and desperation can be seen in almost every major City and the rich still don't pay the taxes. To quote Lennon (not Lenin) 'and we think we're so clever and classless and free' (Working Class Hero) I'll not repeat the last line of the verse due to bad language used, but if y'don't know it then look it up.
So, given that much hasn't changed in the last 200 yrs, without political change then it's likely nothing much will change in the next 200yrs, except technology. Riding a big motorbike that doesn't make a good noise just wouldn't be the same :-)
200 Future, it could be enteresting
