It is important to note that John G. Lake was a missionary on the front lines of the battle against the disease and he had need to be working as he did so he had been given a special gift. One should note that Daniel did not just walk into the lions den. Also there were three Israelites that did not just walk into a furnace they were thrown in. If you are not a front line worker it is wise to avoid contact. Wisdom is a trait we should all strive for according to Proverbs. So use wisdom in this situation and stay as safe as possible even if you are on the battle front.

Indeed, and I only directed them to that front line! I did not at all begin a religious debate, and instantly would’ve told whomsoever posted religious that I would PM them my response.

The problem is that our experience is that such discussion very soon stops being "lovingly discussed" and turning into people shouting at each other.
Scientific discussion of how prayer might be beneficial is probably okay, but that transition into discussion about a creator is not. I am now locking this thread.
