old movies
Our definitions of old movies are considerably different. I just watched Stagecoach (1939) for the umpteenth time. Although, before that I did watch a newer movie, The Battle of Britain (1969). I haven't watched many silents or foreign films lately. It's too hard keeping up with the subtitles while the cat is demanding playtime.
If you're looking for movies then I'll shamelessly plug the Swedish trilogy, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. They're based on the popular novels by Stieg Larsson. Also check out any of the British Horatio Hornblower TV movies starring Ioan Gruffudd. I believe most of them are available on Youtube. The production values seem so much better than most American films.
