Thanks for the posts IIMave. I recently saw the original trailer for that film, looks very good. Perhaps I can find it on DVD somewhere.

Sometimes people retire from their job but later they miss not having any work to do. I've just heard that David Letterman has signed with Netflix and will be doing a number of interview shows for them, could be interesting.

I can't wait to see some Interviews with Letterman-Unchained! (Letterman-Unfettered-by-Public-Broadcast-Censorship-Rules Interviews)

Thanks for the post Motherinlaw. Yes things could get interesting on that program.

Just wanted to mention the passing of Jay Thomas at age 69. Thomas was a frequent guest actor on " Cheers " and also on " Murphy Brown ". In his career he won 2 Emmy's plus he appeared in a number of films as well. Thomas was also known to visit the Letterman show and while there sometimes tell his funny " Lone Ranger " story.

I remember Jay Thomas as Carla's hapless hockey-player hubby on "Cheers," and I saw his annual  Letterman show re-telling of his Lone Ranger story several times -- one of those sweet, G-rated, real-life stories that always makes people laugh.

Thanks a lot for the post Motherinlaw. Yes he also had a nice guest spot on the " Murphy Brown " TV show ( I quite liked that program as well ).

Another show that reminds me a bit of " Muphy Brown " in some ways is the " Drew Carey Show ", it was very good as well.

"Boston Public" was one of those "Eccentric People Who Enjoy Verbal Jousting and Making Lengthy, Witty, Erudite Speeches" Shows, written by David E. Kelley.   "Ally McBeale" was lots of fun, but my all-time favorite Kelley show was "Boston Legal," which featured delightful, bravura performances by William Shatner and James Spader.

Sometimes we lose people and we don't know that they are gone. I see where Geoffrey Hughes passed away in 2012 but I had not heard that he was gone. Hughes appeared on " Coronation Street " for several years as Eddie Yates where he worked with Stan Qgden cleaning windows. Then later he played the part of Onslow on the very funny " Keeping Up Appearances ".
