This is not a free-for-all forum.
If you were a careul observer here you would have seen posts removed for various non-tos related reasons.
Such as material suited for blogs, not forums, and just posting so much and inanely that it takes away use of the forum for others who now have to dig through pages to see material that would otherwise be on the first page.
Posts removed and members muzzled.
Interesting. Well, I see a lot of stuff that doesn't tickle my refined aesthetic here either. But, so what? What off-topics are you (or they) wading through to find, exactly? I think that the line between blog and thread is a rather fine one if it exists at all, and the definition a bit arbitrary on your part. Same for what constitutes inane. And obviously it is just very subjective because I'm getting feedback both in the forum and privately that some people actually like or at least don't mind my posts. And I know some of them aren't that bad (not my detractors, they're horrible), but my threads, I mean :-)
But I'm really not trying to offend people. Just trying to find things interesting, or remotely humorous. If it doesn't tickle your funny bone, what can I do? Can't get a rise out of everyone.
Also, I probably have a bit of A.D.D., but what to do? I actually manage to subsist in the real world as a software engineer, and I've worked for many corporations, and difficult as it is, and boundary pushing though I can't help but do at times, I actually know how to play and play it cool, and get real world recognition for real world things. But here? Give me a break. Some people are so freaking petty. No one's hurt by what I'm doing. If you some people don't like my sense of humor. Fine. There are worse things in the world. They can go find someone more their speed, like Hitler speeches on YouTube or something :-)
How in the world could I ever post anything unseemly, or, OMFG, several threads in a day in this most holy of places!? Can you see how much damage I've done, and how many people have been so deeply deeply inconvenienced?
It's legendary. I mean my posts are so outrageous and of such low quality compared to the off topic posts that are so laudible that would otherwise fill these hallowed halls uninterrupted like moving legato...
Um, for a few of those so offended by my posting style - this is the 'anything goes' forum. If you want a very topical forum to faux moderate, go pick any of the remaining forums with super-clear rigid charters to get all in a wad about. Don't come to the free-for-all forum and have hissy fits about the nature of the content. Just a hint.
