that is way to solve quadratics. Its called completing the square, and can be used on any type of quadratics, meaning ones that you cannot factorise can be done like this. Specifically this is an example of completing the square when a != 1.

sometimes it is quicker to use the quadratic formula, but really it is all the same thing.

Why do we need so many ways to solve the Quadratic equation? Using the discriminant and the regular equation is the easiest, so why even bother with the others?

because it often is too slow to plug and simplify. Factorising is often much much quicker. And completing the square is also a way to do quadratics that cannot be factorised but are too slow to plug.

that's, I'm sure, deep. Is that your own quote or from somewhere else?

Probably somewhere else. Not a lot in my life is original, and quotes definitely aren’t.

most modern things are remixes of things that have already existed haha. music for example.

Define 'devices'. If you mean a computer and modern Smartboards, then yes.

Eh
It really depends
A lot of people will just play games on the computers if they have one
I think the benefits outway the drawbacks tho
Avatar of SriyoTheMid

Only if the device is moderated.

new problem: the gap between the rich and poor has been widening further in many places globally as well as within countries. Lots of people don’t have real access to housing which causes some political risk and civil unrest. Thoughts? Should we be switching our economic system?

communism is EXTREMELY inefficient. The reason we have the modern world, other than the Protestant reformation, is because capitalism encourages innovation.
