From your link and some quick math:

TIL that the world population is increasing about 1% a year which means the population would double in about 70 years (that's not how it works, the rate wont stay constant, but just for perspective on what 1% a year means).

Drawgood
More people is not a problem. More people means more production, more ideas.

And more mouths to feed, with relatively less food and water to feed them.

overpopulation is a fact,  athreat, binded and more serious than AGW, imvho

then ..... coronavirus is not a problem , just part of a solution, why ?

one century ago, 3 billions of people survived, and it may explains today the hell of the life on the big cities, from Tokyo to Cairo and Mexico ....Danla Desh too.

@Dragwood a market is not a huge amount of people but a significant number of people who can buy and sell, "the sovent demand", to meet the offer and vendors,

not only survive miserable to f¨ck daily and get 8 children per wifey, 8 wifey per warrior.

Wars and virus are not a problem, actually, just part of a solution which works ! why ?

because the birth control and planning are de facto an illusion,

let us see India, china, various theocracies, pope...it may help us to understand daily that they let overpopulation become the problem ro the century!

personally I accept the definition of wars and virus as "late birth control".

Mass death helps overpopulation, but there are other effects of mass death lol tongue.png

If you only look at it from one angle, then sure, it's simple.

"the Wise has not to be emotionnal, considering people as straw dogs" Lao Tseu

If u consider a baby drown on a beach, it is awful of course. Then u invite his family in your bedroom, it is microaeconomics. Humanitarism, nice indeed.

BUT .... if u have the will to save your a££ and your power to avoid another to beat you, and invite one million parents, you create the mess.

Just an imaginary theoretical case to show that difference between the point of view and the emotion, imvho.

llamonade2

Just saying you're oversimplifying it. You also read emotion into my post that wasn't there.

Also it's a bit illogical to say overpopulation is a threat... a threat in what way? You think it's bad if people suffer and die? And you see the death and suffering of people (via a virus) as the solution?

lol

FRENCHBASHER001

yes

lol overpopulation 😂

And if you fit the entire population in such an area, over 99% of people would die in less than 10 days.

lol.

Over population has nothing to do with surface area and everything to do with unsustainable sources of food and energy.

TheBestBeer_Root

But to say unsustainable would be because not planting more that should be and yes, the weather there not desired. Had Nicola Tesla’s invention regarding energy been created by now we’d have no reason being charged for many things and a far more wholesome atmosphere and I’m sure he wouldn’t have stopped there with dramatically helping the world and had invented whatever needed for proper sustainable sources, but the damn government corrupted his help for mankind.

CORPORATE GREED, CORRUPT GOVERNMENT, AND FINANCIALLY ELITE FAMILIES THAT HAVE BEEN PULLING THE STRINGS SINCE ROMAN TIMES the bottom of that image says and spot on.

You don't need any Tesla myths in this regard. Ludicrous amounts of free energy pounds the earth 24/7 365 days a year thanks to the enormous fusion reactor in the sky known as the sun, and the physics to harness it is as simple as a semiconductor.

If you want to blame corporate greed and incompetent politicians on something that'd be a good one.

FRENCHBASHER001

not sure that the greedy CEO are all fathers of the african babies who try to come into EU, right now (one billion in the Africa "tank",  serious challenge for EU today), or at the border on the Rio Grande.

lol
