oh i wish i was
people below 300 elo should quit chess.prove me wrong
Forgive me if it would be considered rude but the whole premise of this forum is idiotic. It doesn’t make sense that someone should quit cause if some arbitrary number and this dude is the one making claims so he should be the one backing up his claims.
Ehh, I don't know about that. I think if you're still below 500 after a few months, you're obviously not even trying. (And if you are, chess is clearly not for you.) But I've seen things happen before.

Since when is it your game to prevent others from playing?
If they want to play they play
People still have fun even if they are low ranked
Doesn't make their chess games and enjoyment any 'lesser'
Try and improve the world, don't ruin it
half of low rated players players should not even be low rated. I know this because I am one. Take this example: I have a rapid rating of 230, and I play an opponent who is 340. I beat him. My new rating? 238 (plus 8)

So you think if you beat someone of a certain Elo you should be that Elo or higher? That seems kinda flawed. One time a drew an 1800 hundred but that doesn’t mean I should be one. I am no where near that skill level
Everyone has a right to play this great game regardless of how low there rating may be and anyone who thinks because a person's rating is too low and suggests they should not continue enjoying our great game should consider instead of running those low rated players down instead offer encouragement not segregation?!
