Pirates were often drunk, malnourished and easily bought out by opposing armies,lords or gangs.
Ninjas were very disciplined in meditation, eating well, trained like Olympic athletes and were loyal to the death.

I think I would go for pirates if I had to choose between pirates and ninjas though.
Ick, vikings. SO old-fashioned. I disagree though, not only are ninjas intelligent as well as strong, they're also agile and tactful. They would most DEFINETLY beat vikings.

Ninjas can swim, pirates can not: Therefore Ninjas being taunted from the safe distance of the sea by Pirates on boats, can wait till dark and swim undetected in their all black outfits to the boats and throw the half drunken single tooth pirates overboard where they will briefly flail around and then drown!The Ninjas could then beach the boats, douse them in squid fat and light them on fire to warm themselves after the cold swim out to the Pirates!

Although I'm in favor of the ninjas, the idea that pirates cannot swim just seems illogical, their life on the sea should make them fairly strong swimmers.

(It wont let me type out of this box) I must agree. They SHOULD be srtong swimmers, but ninjas were trained in that act. Pirates although may be strong swimmers, they would be loud. They would've taught themselves, ninjas were physically TRAINED!
I would have to side with Dolphin and say Ninja's would win. Simple fact of the matter Ninja are trained assassins. Pirates and not. Pirates loot and steal. Give them to much to drink and a woman and it is all over" Ninja sneaks up and you have a dead pirate".

pirates can not swim. but vikings would win. they have a bunch of weapons, and they own iceland. ninja's do not own land. pirates would be captured be the US navy. or french.

Vikings and Pirates, two alike in that they lack discipline, are often drunk and could not walk a straight line between em both. Bad breath and wild drunken brute force could never outdo the agile,stelth and super human strength of the Ninja!
And lets not forget the poisoned tipped throwing stars the Ninja's would sink into the already blurry eyed Pirates or Vikings.. Add some bad english dubbing to the mix and make the poor fellas wish they were dead!

Theres a show on t.v that asked this very question. As it turns out these guys have a computer program that factored in weapons training ect... long story short the ninja won 8 out of 10 times
the most powerfull warrior is me with a machine gun and a assult riffle and just in case a b2 bomber or a phanton bomber and you can bring a ninja or a pirate and ill leave them like swiss cheese and trow em to the tiger and then shoot the tiger for not leaving some for me and die so il have to go with pirate bigger sword bigger shield for the bullits
