I see these things often. I am all for helping people, but this means what is best for them long-term and not always the short-term.

This is a manipulation tactic they are using for attention. So what if they don't reach 500 views in 24 hours? They will probably do nothing, or they will close this account and open another one and then repeat the same attention-seeking with another thread.

If you really want to help people like this long-term, then don't give them the attention they want. Giving them attention supports their bad behavior.

Either now, or later in life, they will hopefully realize that they don't need to chase attention each second of their lives. If people respected them, then they wouldn't need to hold attention.
