(Yeah it’s a Bible verse but it’s not a religious idea on its own.)
Romantic love is a different topic, but to me loving someone means you’d be willing to go out of your way to help them, even at the cost of your life. Not that you don’t love someone unless you die for them, the point is that love is selfless.
