Points calculation in a game on Chess.com

Hi everyone, I'm very happy to use this site and play with so many people around the world. I have a question about the points calculation at the end of any Chess.com game. I can understand it is a ELO based calculus but, for me, the method itself is not so clear. Can anyone explain the details of the points attribution on Chess.com?

Thank you,

Alessio

It's based on a rating system developed by mathematics professor Glicko which takes into account how many games, and how recently they were played by both you and your opponent, in assigning points.  If you're new to the site your rating swings will be large; as you get more games it becomes smaller.  I'm sure you can find a more elegant explanation by either "search forums" or google for Glicko RD (rating deviation).  You can even find the formula itself if you're into calculus.
