Problems with gameplay

So I feel like the more and more chess I play the worst I get, I'm 1000 elo when writing this but I once was 1080 elo, anyone know why chess all of a sudden gets harder randomly, Ik you probably don't understand what I mean, but does anyone have any tips for openings, I feel like all I play now is the Italian game or the Englund gambit. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it a lot! 

First of all, as a person moving up and down between 900 and 1050, after 17 thousand games, I can tell you for a fact that openings should not be your focus, unless you know that you always enter the middlegame in like a -1 or -2 position. Tactics like pins are crucial around here and, depending on how often you play, 80 rating points is not much; it's about 10 chess games. With 10 wins you can cover that up and get back to your peak, just be careful not to mess anything up
