Not a word to believed. That the mods let the original postings to be seen and not erased is on them. Suicide should never/ever be joked about in such manner. A sincere apology? Sincere individuals never engage in such behavior to begin with. Growing up doesn’t happen overnight.
If the OP truly learned anything and is remorseful he’d delete all his posts from the original thread and change the title- effectively erasing his transgressions - which will never happen.

Maybe he's not a snowflake
Many of us older members have been touched by a friend's suicide and things like this bring up all those feelings from whenever.
It was a massive error in judgement but I hope he'll learn from it - it's not like any of us are in a position to throw the first stone.
The original post will have affected many people in many ways - ways that none of us can second guess.
If having these feelings brought back to me yesterday makes me a snowflake then I guess that's fine. The pain brought back to many readers together with the original pain felt by friends and families means we have enough snowflakes to build a snowman.
I’m surprised that so many members were taken in by this drama , more fool them . This sort of nonsense is almost a daily occurrence on the Off topic forum.
